Danpaati > Island of Dan
Danpaati was started as part of a health care project. With the cooperation of local Saramaccan village communities, some micro-economic activities are started, such as eco-tourism. The proceeds go to the health care project.
Speciality: Visits to villages, explanation about medical plants and trees, trips by dugout canoe throug a jungle creek where at some points you can not even see the sky because of the overhead foliage, guided educational jungle hikes, cultural evening party withlocal singing and dance.
